Surface conditioning
Prior to the plating process, a surface must be cleaned to offer a perfectly pure substrate to receive a metallic finish with good adhesion. Dirt and oxides must be removed in appropriate conditions. Our extensive surface preparation experience enables us to provide our customers with a synthetic approach and a complete line of cleaners.
Activators
Activators are acidic processes used after various cleaning operations to activate the metal surface ensuring good adhesion of the subsequent coatings. Our activator portfolio consists of dry acid salts, a balanced mixture of mineral acid salts, activators and surfactants, and pickling additives used together with hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid.
