Surface conditioning
Prior to the plating process, a surface must be cleaned to offer a perfectly pure substrate to receive a metallic finish with good adhesion. Dirt and oxides must be removed in appropriate conditions. Buffing Compound Removers
Buffing compound removers are mild alkaline cleaners specially formulated to remove buffing compound residues, oils, and grease from sensitive materials, such as zinc die cast and brass. They are also suitable for the soak cleaning of steel, copper alloys, and aluminum. Buffing compound removers are designed for ultra-sonic and soak cleaning applications and can be used as the first cleaning step on plating lines.
