ACTANE™ 4200

ACTANE™ 4200

ACTANE™ 4200 is an inhibitor additive for mineral acid. It contains a package of emulsifying surfactants and special inhibitors designed to prevent hydrogen from diffusing into the base material during the etching process, reducing the risk of hydrogen embrittlement.

Operational advantage

ACTANE 4200 removes zinc-nickel layers from hooks and rework parts without leaving smut residue on the surface.

Applications

It is often used in hydrochloric acid etches for the removal of scale and rust from high-tensile steel.
