Phosphating

KeyKote 701

KeyKote 701

KeyKote 701 produces a crystalline manganese phosphate coating on steel surfaces, with heavy coating weights up to 16 g/m2. This manganese phosphate coating will absorb oil and other lubricants and is ideal for use on moving and wearing steel surfaces.

Versatility

KeyKote 701 can be used either as a supporting layer until the two wearing surfaces can form a matched mating surface or as a porous base for liquid lubricants and/or corrosion inhibiting oils

Operational efficiency

The liquid concentrate mixes easily with water for simplified make-up

Cost effectiveness

KeyKote 701 delivers a long bath life and reduced sludge formation, optimizing efficiency in both rack and barrel plants

Features & Benefits

  • Retains oil to provide an anti-friction surface
  • Exceptionally long bath life
  • Reduced sludge build-up and simplified sludge removal
  • Suitable for total immersion applications in both rack and barrel plants
  • Meets requirements of MIL-DTL-16232G, Type M, Class 1, 2 and 3

KeyKote 701 may be paired with a suitable KeyKote conditioner in the pretreatment sequence to obtain fine grain manganese phosphate coatings for applications requiring lower roughness.
